KENO To Go is a fast-paced, drawing-style game that gives players the chance at a $300,000 top prize when adding Bulls-Eye. Prizes must be claimed within 180 days after the drawing date on which the prize was won. Learn How To Play, and don’t forget you can always download our app to check your numbers on the go. Mon, February 01, 2021. Payouts listed are based on a $1 wager for Club Keno and $1 wager for Bulls-Eye (= one play). The number of plays times the prize equals the total payout per draw. Maximum payout for any Club Keno ticket is $1 million per drawing regardless of the amount wagered. Check out our Keno Pay Tables, players specials, and our keno book for payouts and rules.

  1. Keno

Keno is the Oregon game drawn every four minutes with 56 ways to win and a $30,000 average jackpot! Bulls-Eye, Multiplier, and three prize structures to choose from add to the thrills of this fast-paced game.

A Keno wager costs $1, and you can bet up to $20 per game. The rolling eight-spot jackpot averages $30,000.

Drawings are held every four minutes between 5:00 AM and 2:30 AM PT seven days a week , and the more you match, the more you win.

Keno is played with spots (numbers) from 1 through 80. In each drawing, 20 out of 80 numbers are randomly chosen. The more you match, the more you win. Whether you win and how much depends on how many spots you match.

How to Play

To play Keno, fill in how many spots you'd like to play (1-10) on your play slip. Now select your wager, from $1 to $20.

Next, pick your numbers, or choose Quick Pick to have the numbers auto-generated. The selection generates one set of numbers per game you play.

You can also play your favorite numbers for multiple consecutive games. Just choose the number of draws you want to play, from 1 to 100 - there's a $100 maximum wager.

Choose the time you want to play with Keno To Go. You can select the time you want your games to start today. If you don't choose a time, your games start right away.

Choose from Three Prize Structures

The normal Keno prize structure has up to seven prize levels in each game, so there are plenty of ways to win.

But there's more! The Special Keno option lets you play for bigger top prizes, with fewer smaller prizes, at no extra cost. There's a prize of up to $1 million on the 10-spot game! Mark Yes on your play slip to select Special Keno, or choose No to play regular Keno.

The third option, Keno Bulls-Eye, offers the chance to play for larger prizes plus more chances to win. Bulls-Eye prizes are added to any Keno prizes. Keep reading for more on Bulls-Eye.

Keno Multiplier

Add Muliplier for the chance to multiply your Keno prize up to 10 times! The Multiplier can be 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, or 10x. It costs $1 for every $1 Keno wager. Bulls-Eye and Jackpot Bonus prizes aren't multiplied.

The table below shows how frequently the Keno Multiplier numbers are drawn on average - 2x and 10x are drawn 55% of the time.

Bulls-Eye

You can add the Bulls-Eye option for more ways to win plus larger prizes. How does it work? Once the 20 winning Keno numbers are drawn, the Bulls-Eye arrow lands at random on one of those 20 numbers - the Bulls-Eye. If you win a Keno or Special Keno prize, and also match the Bulls-Eye number, you'll win both the Keno prize and the Bulls-Eye prize! You can add Bulls-Eye to a regular Keno or Special Keno play, and the ticket cost increases $1 for every $1 Keno wager.

Jackpot Bonus

This feature lets you win the extra Jackpot Bonus if you match all the numbers in an 8-spot game. The jackpot keeps rolling over and growing with every draw until it's won. The Jackpot Bonus is pari-mutuel if there are multiple Jackpot Bonus winners in a game.

Prizes and Odds

Keno offers 56 ways to win cash - match more spots and win more! The tables below show the prize payouts and odds for Keno, Special Keno, and Bulls-Eye according to how many numbers you match in a 1-10 spot game. You can even win a prize by not matching any spots in the 10 spot game! The Keno prizes listed are based on a $1 play. Bulls-Eye prizes listed are based on a $2 play.

Introduction

Note: The page addresses the conventional keno game, known as Spot Keno, where the player picks 1 to 20 numbers from 1 to 80 and the game draws 20 balls. There are links to keno variants towards the bottom of the page.

Keno is a simple game of luck, much like most lottery games, where the player chooses numbers and hope as many as possible match those randomly drawn by a hopper or machine. The simple form with no multipliers or extra balls is called Spot Keno and is addressed on this page. See the Internal Links section below for many keno variants.

Keno Payouts Ma

There are two formats for playing keno: live and video. In live keno, the player uses a crayon and paper to indicate his picks. Every few minutes numbers will be a live draw from a hopper filled with numbered balls. In video keno, the player touches a screen, sometimes using a wand, to pick numbers and the machine does the draw randomly.

Like most games of pure luck, the odds in keno are pretty poor. Keep reading to learn more about the rules and how much you can expect to lose on the game.

Rules

Following are the rules for basic keno:

  1. The player makes a wager and indicates which numbers he wishes to pick. The picks are made on a slip of paper in live keno and by touching the screen in video keno. The range of numbers the player may pick from is 1 to 80.
  2. The number of picks the player may make depends on the game itself. Usually the range is 2 to 10 or 1 to 15.
  3. The game will randomly choose 20 out of 80 balls.
  4. If the game chooses a number the player chose that is known as a 'catch.' The player is paid according to the number of balls he catchs.

Surveys

In 2001 I did a survey of every live keno casino game in Las Vegas. The returns ranged from 65% to 80%. In other words, the house edge was 20% to 35%, making live keno among the worst bets you can make in Las Vegas.

In 2012 I did a similar survey of live keno in Laughlin, which showed a range of return of 50% to 74%.

In 2008 I did a survey of video keno in San Diego. The returns ranged from 84% to 95%.

In 2017 I redid my Las Vegas video keno survey, which can be found at Wizard of Vegas.

Advice

If you must play keno, the only skill is choosing where to play to play and then how many numbers to choose. It makes no difference which numbers you choose. Contrary to popular myth, legitimate keno games, like those in Las Vegas, are fair and every ball has a 1 in 80 chance of being drawn each game. To determine the odds of any keno game you can use my keno calculator. Just put in the pay table and you will see how much you can expect to get back every bet.

However, I tend to think anybody who would take the trouble to analyze the game is probably not playing it in the first place. The odds in video keno are about as bad as slot machines. If you want to lose a lot less money gambling I would highly recommend converting to video poker. For live keno players, I would suggest converting to bingo.

Scouting Guide

When you're in the casino it would take a long time to put in every pay table through my many calculators above to determine the best game to play. That is why I created two printer-friendly guides you can print out and take with you:

  • My Keno Scouting Guide is a short reference to the best available game for any pay table for all the most popular forms of keno. Each game has a table showing the possible pick-10 pay tables available and the best number of picks for that game and its return. See the last page of the guide for a full explanation how to use it.
  • My Full Pay Table Report is a longer guide showing every known pay table for all the major keno games and their associated return. For those who want to know the return for any number of picks, not just the best number (which the Keno Scouting Guide provides).

For a printer-friendly document showing keno pay tables and returns for several major keno games please see my Keno Scouting Guide (PDF). Perfect for printing and taking to the casino to find the best game and pay table available.
